So here I am writing my first journal post for the Wrapped in Kindness website. It’s live, it’s up and running (smoothly I hope) and something that existed only in my head, now exists in real life – well on the internet anyway!
I’m so proud that customers are now able to have a browse around the website and all the amazing Irish products listed and get a feel for the “wrapped in kindness” concept and realise the difference that can be made by shopping with us.
By shopping with us you are choosing Irish and also helping a charity
With this in mind and with people starting to think about Christmas, I thought I would do a round up of what Wrapped in Kindness has to offer for various people in your life this Christmas. Remember that as well as getting a fabulous gift for them, you can also select which charity you would like the donation to go to on their behalf. In this way, not only can you give them a gorgeous physical gift, you can also give them a more meaningful gift via this tailored donation. There will be a notecard included in each order stating the charity selected.
GIFTS FOR TEACHERS
If you’ve read the Our Story section of the website, you’ll know that I originally got the idea for Wrapped in Kindness while trying to think of something to buy for my son’s primary school teacher. So there is no shortage of gifts here at Wrapped in Kindness for any teachers you’d like to treat this Christmas and all of these are under €20. My picks from our lovely range of products are a beautiful tin of Bergamot & Lemongrass handcream from Dublin Herbalists (€15.95) or The Party Collection of 3 gorgeous artisan chocolate bars from Bean & Goose (€16.50)
GIFTS FOR NEIGHBOURS
Most people would drop a bottle of wine or a box of chocolates into their neighbours at Christmas time and that is a perfectly lovely gift, but if you’re looking for something a little different but still useful, I would recommend some handwash or hand lotion from Dublin Herbalists, or why not get a beautiful gift set containing both of these items. They come in gorgeous reusable Amber glass bottles and smell amazing. Hand Wash €14.95, Hand Lotion €14.95, Gift set containing both Hand Wash & Hand Lotion €28.95
GIFTS FOR HIM
I know it may be a little cliché to get the man in your life a scarf at Christmas, but I really think you can’t go wrong with one of our cosy scarves from John Hanly. My husband’s favourite is the Green & Charcoal Herringbone Merino & Cashmere scarf €53
GIFTS FOR HER
When I’m talking about a gift for a “her” in your life, it could be a girlfriend, friend, sister, Mum, cousin, colleague, sister-in-law, auntie etc – you get the idea – so I’m just going to show you a few of my favourite items that would make an amazing gift for any “her” in your life this Christmas. Firstly jewellery – we stock a great selection of earrings from the Irish designed and made brand Aria-V. These earring are very striking and elegant and will really complete any outfit but especially a Christmas outfit. Black Magic Earrings €109 and Pixi Earrings €89 are perfect for adding that finishing touch.
We also stock gorgeous colourful earrings from The Messy Brunette. These would also make a fantastic gift for a “her” in your life. These earrings are laser cut and made from bamboo/birch and then hand painted. One of my favourite styles from The Messy Brunette is The Gatsby Hoop Earrings in Vintage Pink €30

If you don’t trust yourself picking jewellery for someone, then I would suggest a gorgeously soft oversized Merino scarf from John Hanly €75. We stock a range of colours of these as well as the baby pink below.

For the women in your life who love to practice self-care and self-reflection, we have some beautiful hand bound notebooks from Hubert Bookbindery in Co. Cork €20 (Small) €25 (A5) or select one of our amazing smelling candles from fellow Waterford brand Milis €21
GIFTS FOR KIDS
One of our favourite products is our Bouncy Bowie teddies from Guadalupe Creations €40. These would make such a lovely gift for a child of any age. They are hand-crafted by Guadalupe in her home studio in Dublin and are such fantastic quality. They are designed to be heirloom pieces and passed down through the family. They come in a range of colours, so there should be one that your child will love.

If you have a little girl that likes pretty things for her hair, we also have beautiful handmade leather bows from Pixi & Jon Co from €6.50 to €12 The colours in their Autumn range are so rich and beautiful.
GIFTS FOR TEENS
Teens can be very tricky to buy for, but I think something that helps them start a self-care practice or take some time out from their hectic social media browsing is a good place to start. So I think a candle would be a lovely gift for a teenager. It might also help them to feel like you are giving them a bit of responsibility. We have colourful jesmonite candle holders from Cementique €10 and gorgeous dip-dye/confetti taper candles from Cuar €20 (pack of 4)
We also have some lovely bath salts from Wild Rose Botanicals €12 which would be a great way to encourage them to enjoy a bath and maybe start a new ritual of making some time to relax and switch off.

GIFTS FOR BABIES
We have some gorgeous baby blankets from John Hanly €65. These are so soft as they contain cashmere and come in a range of gorgeous colours in a beautiful gift box. They are perfect for putting over a babies lap in the car or when out and about over the Winter.

As you can see, there are loads of lovely gift options for all your friends and family this Christmas here at Wrapped in Kindness. By shopping with us you are choosing Irish and also helping a charity that means something special to you or the people you are buying for. Happy Shopping!
